Sufalam – Dal Tadka Masala
Sufalam Dal tadka masala is made of mix spices with top note of asafetida (hing) it gives acquires a subtle taste and royal aroma in all dishesh of dal fry and dal tadaka. It is veg. and used for tempering the dal and curries.
Cook lentils in a cooker, heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan, add finely chopped onions and cook till it turns pink, add chopped tomatoes, add sufalam dal tadka masala, turmeric, chilli powder, mix the cooked lentils finely, add salt as per taste and enough water and let it cook. For tempering the cooked lentils, heat the oil separately, add ½ tsp suflam dal tadaka masala ,chopped garlic and put 2 red chillies, 4/5 nim leaves and put it on top of the lentils. Serve Dal Tadka with Rice.
